Mom, The Explorer, and I had some fun designing reception table centerpieces for Fiancee’s and my wedding. We used stemware and Christmas decorations. Almost everything we use is owned by one of us or borrowed from our friend, Eva.
Fabric squares – get “fabric samples” from Joann Fabrics.
Tulle – Borrowed from Eva
Stem ware – owned, borrowed, inherited; turn stem ware upside down and place electric tea lights inside the glass. Or, places a flower bud on top or inside the glass.
Votive vases, fish bowls, etc – Borrowed; to add variety in size and shape with stem ware
Tea light candles & electric tea lights – Dollar store. Use electric tea lights under glass, in proximity with fabric, and anywhere that someone may knock one over. Real candles are much prettier, but should be used only in a safe votive holder.
Flower buds – Use Micheal’s Art and Craft silk flowers or fresh buds from your wedding florist.
Christmas ball ornaments, pine cones, Christmas garland/beads – Owned; the wedding is three dayst after Christmas, so I am happy to add some seasonal flair. December weddings are so easy to decorate because Christmas ornaments are accessible and they only look right in December.
